George is a friend from Connecticut who had a successful heart transplant at Yale after living on a Jarvik mechanical heart for several months. I first met him at his home when he had the Jarvik device. I saw him again a month ago and he looks in fine shape. This post to his blog seems to confirm that he is healthy beyond expectations.
George is a miracle walking... and running and swimming. He hiked Mount Washington last summer. God is a wonder worker.
