Trapped Data

This is, of course the dilemma with Software as a Service, how to get all or large chunks of your data from A to B if you want to move it. Because this is such a huge issue, it will get solved. The question is who will do it? Google seems the likely candidate, but it hasn't happened yet.

I use xDrive for some online data storage, but it's the applications and features that surround the data in applications like Flickr or Writely that are so valuable. Businesses will not allow their data to be locked up online by someone, so the problem will be fixed.
