New York Medicaid Fraud May Reach Into Billions - New York Times

This is unbelievable! Seems the Times has dug deeply with a fine piece of investigative reporting into the New York state Medicaid 'honeypot.' If their findings are correct, New York politicians and bureaucrats ought to be ashamed of themselves for allowing such incredible fraud, waste and abuse. Billions of taxpayer dollars have been siphoned into the pockets of cheats, crooks and charlatans. It's absurd to me that this mess could be allowed to exist, unless there are hundreds of people who should be minding the store 'on the take.'

Vermont would be wise to examine its own Medicaid expenditures to assure proper claims and spending.
