Corn-based ethanol's a flawed concept - MarketWatch

Corn-based ethanol's a flawed concept - MarketWatch

A reasoned and balanced analysis of the economics, energy efficiency, and related market dynamics of corn-based ethanol as a motor fuel. Worth reading.

My take from it is that our net cost as a society will rise if using corn-based ethanol, but corn farmers should prosper. Protein producers may be negatively affected, but the net affect on consumers is they will pay more for their meat and gasoline when mixed with ethanol.
